Perfect Chips
|
|
Finding out the nutritional value of homemade chips is not an
exact science. They will vary considerably depending on the oil used, the
variety of potatoes and the cooking method used. Even the heat of the oil causes
the nutritional values to alter. Finally the portion size will also
significantly affect the nutritional values. We reckon the average portion size
is about 250 grams when chips are a side serving for a main meal. |
With the above in mind we have calculated the average nutritional value of a 250 gram
serving of chip shop chips. This should roughly equate to the nutritional value of deep
fried chips at the average home.
